The Home Depot is integrating online and in-store shopping through its initiative called One Home Depot. This initiative aims to reduce friction in the shopping experience by providing a seamless transition between browsing online and shopping in-store, especially important given the vast selection of 50,000 unique products in each store and millions available online.

The Home Depot has implemented HPE GreenLake for Aruba, which includes Aruba Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6 Access Points and Aruba CX 6300 Switch Series. This technology enhances wireless coverage, extends connectivity outside the stores, and simplifies network management, ultimately making it easier for customers to shop and work.

During the pandemic, The Home Depot rapidly scaled its outdoor networking capabilities to accommodate curbside pickup, which became essential. The existing infrastructure allowed them to extend wireless coverage significantly—up to 100 yards outside their stores—enabling them to meet the changing customer needs effectively.
